Whilst pursuing her B. Iuris and LL.B. degrees, she gained seven years of work experience as Estate Examiner and later, as an Acting Assistant-Master at the Master of the High Court in Pretoria. Upon leaving the Master of the High Court in 1997, she pursued her interest in the law of insolvency whilst being employed at a leading firm of insolvency practitioners in Johannesburg.
After relocating to Munich and completing her post-graduate legal studies, Ms Bürger worked for several years at the European intellectual property law firm Grünecker Patent Attorneys and Attorneys-at-Law.
Ms Bürger is fluent in Afrikaans, English and German.

With this quote in mind, one should give the fact some thought that every day can potentially be the last day of a person’s life. Although one can obviously not sit on the fence and observe what happens after one’s life ends, it is advisable that testamentary dispositions are made if one does not want the law of intestate succession to determine what is to happen with a person’s worldly possessions.
In general, a will should be drafted as simply as possible, but as comprehensively as necessary in order to facilitate the smooth administration and distribution of a person’s estate after the terminal disease has been overcome.
